The East London Specialist Addiction Service is part of the East London NHS Foundation Trust and provides a full range of drug and alcohol services. We are a clinically-focused service, working in partnership with all patients, service users and their social networks, and with other services to provide strength-based recovery treatment. Our purpose is to reduce drug and alcohol related harms to individuals, families and communities; to maximize the quality of life and well-being of service users, enable service users to make better choices about their lives, and to enable recovery. We invite applications from non-medical prescribers, with current or past experience as an NMP in substance misuse. We welcome non-medical prescribers from all disciplines who seek a rewarding role and wish to work in a multidisciplinary medical team with high standards. • Delivery of Independent Non-Medical Prescribing (INMP) services in substance misuse; substitute therapies and abstinence maintenance • Prescribe evidence-based treatments for people with substance misuse dependency (including stabilization, intermediate maintenance and detoxification regimes) • Act within competencies to provide other relevant substance misuse treatments for example community alcohol detoxification regimes and vitamin supplementation • Support service users to achieve their recovery goals and community re-integration • Be a specialist resource for the service team • Work with a high degree of autonomy and self-management Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations. • Titration of complex and non-complex need • Carry out drug and alcohol misuse assessments and reviews including assessment of personal strengths and recovery capital, and risks. • Carry out clinical assessments and reviews using a variety of consultation and review methods including remote consultations. • Carry out clinical work in settings other than the primary workplace, e.g., when working with third sector agencies, when requested. • · Management and mentorship of clinical staff as required in line with ELFT line management policy and procedures; supervision, appraisal, capability assessments. · Occasional management of non-clinical staff as required in line with ELFT line management policy and procedures.
